Council President Nikolić and Ambassador of Russia Chepurin discuss Foreign Minister Lavrov’s visit to Serbia

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia Alexander Chepurin.

Ambassador Chepurin handed over to Mr. Nikolić a message with season’s greetings signed by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who sent his best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Both the upcoming visit of Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, which is taking place in the context of marking the 180th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Russia, and the participation of the National Council’s delegates in the Sochi meeting of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation scheduled for early 2018, featured as topics of the two interlocutors’ conversation.

Ambassador Chepurin and Council President Nikolić also discussed Mr. Nikolić’s forthcoming meeting with Dmitry Rogozin, one of the Co-Chairs of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee.

The two collocutors also looked into the approaching activities related to the two countries’ economic cooperation.
