Mr. Li Xueqiang underlined that CMEC was highly interested in building gas-powered thermal power plants in Serbian cities affected by pollution. “In the weeks to come, CMEC will perform the necessary in-depth analyses, in order to define future steps for this project’s implementation”, Li Xueqiang said.

Mr. Nikolić underlined his expectation that the detailed project analysis would be followed by a proposal intended for Serbia’s Government and President. “It is necessary to acquaint China’s National Development and Reform Commission with this project in order for it to be comprehensively supported by both Serbian and Chinese officials”, Mr. Nikolić emphasized.
