“The main purpose of our visit to Serbia is to familiarize ourselves with everything that our entrepreneurs from Nantong have so far achieved in Serbia, and to look into further opportunities for promoting cooperation between the City of Nantong and Serbia, through specific projects. Not only do we strive to deepen our economic collaboration, but we also want to expand cooperation in other areas important to us, such as education, sports, medicine and cultural exchange. We are grateful for your visit to Nantong, giving us clear guidelines for strengthening Sino-Serbian cooperation, and we are particularly thankful for the fact that you visited the CNTC, which is interested in doing business in Serbia. In China, you are well-known as a friend of the Chinese people and your contribution to the growing cooperation in all areas is very significant. The cooperation between our two countries reached a historic high level when President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping visited Serbia. We the representatives of local authorities directly benefit from the established China-Serbia cooperation, and it is incumbent upon us to follow the identified guidelines for cooperation between our two countries, at all levels”, Mr. Huang Weidong underlined.

Council President Nikolić and the Chinese delegation discussed the projects that Serbia had already implemented in tandem with its Chinese partners, stressing in particular the successful Smederevo Steelworks privatization and the strategic partnership between Zijin and the MSC Bor.
