Council President Nikolić meets International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce of P. R. China

Serbian entrepreneurs have been invited to Expo-2018, an international fair initiated by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting today with China’s International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying.

“The Sino-Serbian cooperation started with infrastructural projects; it expanded in parallel with the privatization of the Smederevo Steel Mill, which now replenishes the budget, and the quantum leap was made owing to the green light on Serbian meat import. We perceive the Belgrade-Budapest rail construction project, which we are developing with our Chinese partners, to be one of the central modern-day projects. Our cooperation is on the rise, we have encouraged other states, both from the region and from Europe at large, to follow suit and to collaborate with China. We are ready to deepen our cooperation with all Chinese institutions, and to encourage our entrepreneurs to engage in closer cooperation with their Chinese counterparts”, National Council President Nikolić highlighted.

Mr. Fu Ziying called on Serbian entrepreneurs to take part in the international Expo-2018 fair, President Xi Jinping’s brainchild. “The fair will bring together more than 100 countries. No Chinese exhibitors will be present, China will only participate as an importer. China is opening its market to countries from across the globe. I am content that you have continued to encourage the Sino-Serbian cooperation through the work of the National Council. I trust and believe that our bilateral cooperation results will improve owing to the support lent by the National Council and the Government of Serbia”, Mr. Fu Ziying underlined.
