Dear Mr. President,

I am writing to thank you for the Congratulatory Letter you addressed to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán following our victory in parliamentary elections.

I am pleased to note that, owing to close cooperation, we have managed to elevate the friendly, political, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and the Republic of Serbia to a historic high over the past decade. I am confident that your previous work and engagement have significantly contributed to this result.

You may rest assured that Hungary remains steadily committed to Serbia’s successful European integration and that we will provide all the necessary assistance with the aim of it acceding to full membership of the European Union as promptly as possible. I believe that following the successfully completed elections in Hungary and Serbia, we will resume our cooperation with renewed energy, to the benefit of our peoples.

I wish you good health and every success in your responsible endeavours.

Budapest, 7 April 2022

Respectfully,

Péter Szijjártó
