Council President Nikolić meets Ambassador of P. R. China Li Manchang

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting today with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia Li Manchang, about the further enhancement of the two countries’ economic cooperation.

The two interlocutors agreed on the existence of potentials for the advancement of cooperation in almost all areas, while particularly stressing the possibility of Sino-Serbian collaboration in traditional Chinese medicine. Ambassador Li Manchang underlined that there was interest in China to open a Serbia-based Chinese medical centre.

Mr. Nikolić said that the excellent political relations between Serbian and Chinese leaders went hand in hand with the two countries’ increasingly active economic cooperation, whose progress was now unstoppable.

China’s Ambassador informed Council President Nikolić about the visits to be made by representatives of China’s state-owned and private companies interested in investing in Serbia. He also presented to Mr. Nikolić a letter from President Xi Jinping, who underlined, inter alia, his belief in the further improvement of China’s economic cooperation with Serbia.
